Omega Gamma Gamma Celebrates Brother Jimmy Daniels Jr. as Region Coach of the Year

Macon County, GA – The Omega Gamma Gamma Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. proudly recognizes Brother Jimmy Daniels Jr. for his outstanding achievement as Region 6-A Division 2 Coach of the Year for Macon County High School. His leadership, dedication, and passion for youth development have made a lasting impact both on and off the court.

With an impressive coaching record of 21-9, 18-10, and 19-3 over the past three seasons, Coach Daniels has led his team to excellence through hard work, discipline, and his unwavering belief in “Trusting the Process.” His ability to inspire, mentor, and develop young athletes has not only shaped a successful basketball program but has also instilled valuable life lessons in his players.

A Legacy of Leadership & Service

A 2008 graduate of Macon County High School, Brother Daniels’ commitment to education and youth empowerment has defined his career. He holds degrees from Reedley Community College (Associate’s, 2010), Alabama State University (Bachelor’s, 2013), and Georgia College & State University (Master’s, 2021).

As an educator and Varsity Girls Head Basketball Coach, Daniels has been a guiding force for student-athletes, emphasizing academic success, character development, and teamwork. His impact extends beyond athletics—he is the founder of E.P.I.C. (Encouraging. Positive. Inspiring. Careers.), a mentorship initiative focused on education, tutoring, community service, and career readiness. Through this program, he has helped countless students find purpose and direction in their lives.

Beyond basketball, Brother Daniels has held multiple leadership roles, including:

•       Middle school athletic director

•       Head middle school football coach

•       Head middle school girls’ basketball coach

•       Founder of G.E.N.T.S. (Growing. Evolving. Nurturing. Teenagers.), a mentorship program that instills discipline, leadership, and academic excellence in young men.
